Hmmm, place seems nice. Good walls, sturdy ceilings, fresh paint. Yea, this place looks nice, but I've learned the hard way, looks can be deceiving.

Oh, hi. Sorry, I'm new here. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Christine...Christine Graves. I'm a writer and have been for a long time. I'm not talking about a few months or a couple of years. I've been writing for more than 40 years now. Yep, I was writing before the Internet was a thing.

A few years back, I was doing pretty well for myself. Between 2005 and 2011, I was doing a lot of ghostwriting and copywriting. Then, life got in the way and I had to stop. Took me six years to get back into it and boy was I surprised at how much everything had changed in that amount of time.

Since 2018, I've been writing on Medium.com. Nope, not making much money, but that's okay. I never really expected to. It was mostly to help me get my groove back and it did just that. But not how I'd originally imagined. I was hoping to get back into ad copy and that type of thing, but my love of fiction took over and that's become my genre du jour.

I also write weekly and monthly Writing Prompt pieces on my own Medium publication, Enticing the Muse. I love creating writing prompts as it's actually how I got started writing online. I joined a writers' group back in 2001. Someone said they were having trouble coming up with something to write about, so I offered some of the weird ideas I'd written down in my notebook. A couple of weeks later, the admins of the group asked me to be a regular contributor of writing prompts and the rest is history.

I've heard a lot of people discussing Gumroad in their Medium articles. I usually avoid those "Make a Million Dollars in a Week" type posts, but I still read some just for the giggles. However, after about the 5th or 6th piece I read about Gumroad, I decided to check it out for myself.

I've been lurking in the shadows for a while now. Reading some of the stuff in the University section, looking through some of the stuff others are offering, and my inner critic started screaming at me. "You have nothing to offer. You don't know how to do digital stuff. You're an old broad. You're not good enough at any of this to be here." Needless to say, that old biddy gets on my nerves.

But here I am. I'm not sure where I'll go from here but something is driving me to at least try. Can't explain it. Honestly, I doubt if anyone will ever see this post. But if you do happen to read this, I have a couple of questions.

1.) Do you think an ebook of short stories would do well here?
2.) Do you think an ebook of writing prompts would sell?
3.) What else can an old, sarcastic, country girl who loves fiction and has a passion for ancient history create that might make a buck?

Honestly, I'm not usually one to do this simply for money. I'm not looking to make my fortune from this, but it would be a nice side hustle.

Okay, that's it for now. I need to finish setting up house. Hang some stuff on the walls, put up some curtains, figure out where to go from here. That kind of thing. I could always use a little help. If you've got any ideas or advice, I'd love to hear it.
